Database Administrator

Position Summary:

Provide technical support in developing and maintaining database applications. Heavy focus on transactional performance, out of the box thinking, and the ability to translate game features into relational data. Assist with administrative maintenance of relational databases including backup/recovery, schedule jobs, problem diagnosis and performance tuning. Implement data models and database designs.
This position requires at least three years of experience developing relational database applications with in-depth knowledge of Oracle, query performance / tuning, and an understanding of the complexities of working in a product focused environment.

Essential Functions of the Position:

• 2 years of data architecture experience
• Experience in high performance, high transaction database environment
• Someone who enjoys the challenge of actively pursing requirements analysis, creating data models, UML diagrams etc
• Experienced in writing PL/SQL and Stored Procedures
• Deep understanding of database performance tuning
• Experience with MySQL a plus
• Recent Oracle experience for at least 3 years (5 preferred)
• Logical design
• Physical design
• Database tuning / SQL tuning

Minimum Requirements (education, years of experience, specific skills, licenses, certifications):

• Experience with Java
• Experience with XML
