Rod Nakamoto Joins CME Executive Team

Industry leader Rod Nakamoto has been named vice president and studio head for Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment (CME). Mr. Nakamoto will be a key part of CME’s push to develop cutting-edge interactive entertainment.
“All of us at Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment look forward to the expertise that Rod will bring to the company,” said Tim Jenson, president and CEO of CME. “Rod will help CME pioneer our next projects and put our company on the forefront of interactive entertainment.”
An entrepreneur throughout his career, Rod founded his first company, Sweet Micro Systems, Inc., in 1979. Rod went on to create Interactive Designs, a game development company, which was later acquired by Sega of America. His recent work includes executive positions at leading game companies such as Sega of America, Electronic Arts, GT Interactive, Hasbro Interactive, Vivendi Universal Games, Namco and Kayak Interactive.
“This is an exciting time for the games industry and we are examining all of the new venues where we can apply our creativity and product development expertise,” said Mr. Nakamoto. “I\'m looking forward to creating new games that set the standard for future developers and publishers.”
